Current Legislation

HB 167 - This legislation would provide protection for domestic violence and stalking victims in the rental and/or workplace context. Currently there is no legislation that obliges landlords/employers to agree to requests in order to protect the victim's safety - such as changing phone extensions, removing offenders from rental leases, changing locks - and this legislation would demand reasonable compliance with these requests.
