HELP TWENTY-FOUR HOUR HOTLINE
HELP TWENTY-FOUR HOUR HOTLINE
Domestic Violence Center respects the privacy and is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of our donors, staff, clients, volunteers, and friends. As a result, we will not sell, rent or share personally identifiable information or other supporter information with third parties under any circumstances (except with express consent or to the extent disclosure is compelled by law). We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with our funders. For example, we may tell a funder that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Domestic Violence Center periodically communicates with donors and friends through emails and other mailings. If you wish to be excluded from these communications, please let us know by calling 216-651-8484.
Online Donations and/or Event Registrations
Domestic Violence Center collects the following information through our secure online credit-card giving page: name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card information. This personally identifiable information is used only to collect your contribution and/or event registration and to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes. Please note that donations are processed through Network for Good (see their Privacy Policy for details) and event tickets are processed through PayPal (see their Privacy Policy for details).
Online Data Security
Domestic Violence Center helps protect personally identifiable information by utilizing both online and offline security methods, including firewalls, passwords and restricted physical access to the places where your information is stored. Our staff is trained to comply with our security procedures, and our security procedures are regularly reviewed and revised, if necessary, by the management of Domestic Violence Center.
Our on-line credit giving pages (processed through Network for Good) use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. To make donations through our on-line giving pages, you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Netscape Navigator 3.0 or later, or Internet Explorer. This protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information while it is transmitted over the Internet.
