Donor Spotlight

The Domestic Violence Center (DVC) is excited to recognize donors Joan & Taub Kornblut, and Mary Harwood.

Joan & Taub Kornlbut are the parents of the late Marci Kornblut, who was a victim of domestic violence. As a result of her death, the Kornbluts, along with Marci's family and friends, held the first annual March 4 Marci in May 2007 just a few months after Marci's passing. The purpose of the march was to raise awareness about domestic violence among high school students and the community of South Euclid, where Marci was a high school teacher. All proceeds were donated to the Domestic Violence Center to support our education and prevention programs in local schools. This past May marked the second annual March 4 Marci, which was again a great success. We would like to thank the Kornbluts for their strength and generosity! Thank you Taub & Joan!

Mary Harwood of North Olmsted has also held an event to benefit DVC for the past two years. Dancing 4 Dollars, for the past two years in a row, has proved to be a fun and wildly successful night of line dancing and fundraising! It is with the help of caring individuals like Mary, who plan events for DVC, that we are able to provide comprehensive programming and services to our clients. We salute Mary for holding such a great event and for raising awareness about domestic violence. Thank you Mary, for your kindness and your leadership in your community!
